The unauthorized resale of BoltBus tickets is strictly prohibited and will be prosecuted. Further, scraping of any information on the BoltBus website is strictly prohibited unless explicitly agreed to in advance. If you have made multiple duplicate reservations to one or more destinations on or about the same date for the same traveler s , BoltBus reserves the right to cancel all such reservations without notice.
BoltBus and its service providers are not liable for information that is inaccurate due to technical defects in software used on our website, whether induced by their respective systems or by software provided by third parties. If BoltBus notifies you that the manner in which you are using the BoltBus site is prohibited or unauthorized, you may no longer use the site for that particular purpose and must immediately cease and desist from such use.
You may not copy, display, distribute, download, license, modify, publish, re-post, reproduce, reuse, sell, transmit, use to create a derivative work, or otherwise use the content of this site for public or commercial purposes without our express written permission. Nothing on this site shall be construed to confer any grant or license of any intellectual property rights, whether by estoppel, by implication, or otherwise. You may not modify, re-render, frame, mirror, truncate, add to, inject, filter or change the order of the information contained on any page of the BoltBus site, including, without limitation, by any way of reproducing BoltBus web pages or Company Information on any other Website without our express written permission.

You may not use any deep-link, page-scrape, robot, crawl, index, spider, click spam, macro programs, Internet agent, or other automatic device, program, algorithm or methodology which does the same things, to use, access, copy, acquire information, generate impressions or clicks, input information, store information, search, generate searches, or monitor any portion of the BoltBus site or Company information.
You may not use the BoltBus site in any way which depletes web infrastructure resources, slows the transferring or loading of any web page, or interferes with the normal operation of our site. You may not upload or transmit to the BoltBus site any device, software, program, or file that may damage the operation of any computer or the BoltBus site, including without limitation, viruses or corrupt files.
You may not disguise the origin of information transmitted to, from, or through the BoltBus site. You may not circumvent any measures implemented by BoltBus aimed at preventing violations of the Use Agreement.
You may not violate the restrictions in any robot exclusion header. When you use the BoltBus site or Company Information for an authorized purpose, you must include all proprietary notices without changing, hiding or deleting them. You may not engage in any conduct that is, or that BoltBus deems to be, in violation of this Use Agreement.

You acknowledge that BoltBus may exercise its rights e. BoltBus respects the intellectual property of others and we ask our users to do the same. Your privacy is important to us. There are certain cases where you may get a refund from BoldBus, but their tickets are generally non-refundable. This means that in case you are late or unable to make your trip due to illness, family emergency, or any other reason, you are stuck with your ticket.
One thing you can do is rebook another trip. The option is available up to 24 hours before departure. BoltBus is not flexible, even with rebooking.
If you book another ticket that costs less than the original, you won't get a refund for the price difference. You won't even get a credit for future purchases. In case your trip is canceled, you will get a refund automatically. The company states that there is no need to contact them to request a refund because they will issue it to your original payment method.
In addition to the refund, if the cancellation was BoltBus's fault, you may get a free trip. Since you can only get a refund if the company cancels your trip, you should check for any current cancellations.
You can do this by regularly checking your email for any cancellation notices. Another option is to visit the company's website and find the Travel Alerts section to verify your trip.
With their strict refund policy, you may be discouraged from reaching out to BoltBus even if you feel you are entitled to a refund, but you shouldn't be. Unfortunately, our drivers will not know how your child safety seat works and will not be able to help you.
No children under the age of 16 are allowed to travel unaccompanied and we assume no responsibility or liability for unaccompanied children. Please arrive at the pickup point a minimum of 15 minutes before departure. If you have purchased online, please bring your email confirmation either printed or electronic. On the lower right-hand side of your email confirmation, you will find a large letter.
This letter designates which boarding group you are assigned too. Customers will board the bus based on their assigned boarding group with our special needs customers boarding first, followed by our loyalty program members boarding next, then followed by customers who purchased tickets online and lastly any walk-up passengers.
Feel free to sit in any open seat. Walk-up passengers will be loaded at this time. You could lose your seat to a standby or walk-up passenger. We encourage you to arrive at the pickup point a minimum of 15 minutes before departure time. You are allowed one piece of baggage under the coach and two small bags to carry on i. The carry-on bags should be small enough to fit in the overhead bin. You are responsible for placing your bags in the baggage bin under the bus and retrieving your bags at your destination.
If you need assistance with your baggage, ask and the driver they will be glad to assist you. We recommend that you properly tag all bags and place your name, address and phone number on the inside. If a bag is left mistakenly behind and is properly marked, we will return it to you free of charge. We are not responsible for damage to baggage. We do allow oversize items as long as space is available in the baggage bin. The oversize item will count as your one bag allowed under the coach.
We will not charge you an additional fee for oversized item provided it is within your limit of one bag under the coach. We also do not allow the transport of any material that may be deemed hazardous such as acids, alcohol, ammunition, animals, combustible liquids, compressed gases, corpses, cremated remains, drugs, explosives, firearms of all types, fireworks, flammable liquids, furniture, poisons, radioactive materials, or the like. We employ professional, highly trained drivers. We expect our drivers to act as professionals at all times and also be quick with a smile or a helping hand.
Drivers are allowed to accept tips for a job well done however they are not allowed to solicit tips from passengers. These coaches are equipped with ABS, disc brakes, and stability control. All of the coaches and newer are equipped with seatbelts and we recommend there use when travelling. All of our buses go to a garage every night and all receive a full and rigorous periodic maintenance checks. We are very serious about safety at BoltBus. Disclaimer: BoltBus makes every effort to provide these services free of charge to every passenger.
For operational reasons, BoltBus may need to substitute a replacement vehicle which may not have all of the regular amenities.
We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause you. However, if for whatever reason any of the amenities mentioned above are not available on your trip, we will not issue a credit or refund. Fast and hopefully fun. On trips less than four hours, the service will be non-stop from origin to destination. On a trip over three hours, we will typically make a quick comfort stop. This stop will be at a location with vending machines and public bathrooms.
The stop is quick — about 10 minutes — long enough to use the restroom or grab a quick snack. This gives our driver and passengers a chance to get some fresh air and stretch their legs. Not many. We do ask that you be respectful of your fellow passengers and our drivers who are working very hard. Please keep any personal phone calls to a minimum.
Use headphones if you listen to music or watch a movie. The driver will warn the offending parties once and if needed, the driver will escalate to the proper authorities. We have a zero tolerance policy for alcohol, drugs, weapons and any behavior which might cause a safety hazard. Yes, we try and have a little fun and at the same time reward our most frequent riders.

This free trip is yours to use whenever you want: next weekend, the next big holiday or next year, your choice. Loyalty members will be first to board the bus with very frequent riders in the first group and all remaining loyalty members boarding next.
BoltBus reserves the right to close any loyalty account or expire unredeemed travel credits at our discretion. A full fare credit earned is good for 18 months from the date of travel.
For example, a ticket purchased for travel on January can be used towards a free trip until June , 18 months later. Once these credits expire, they cannot be extended or reinstated.
We also reserve the right to add or remove credits from a loyalty account for any reason at any time. It is important that you let us know if you will be traveling in a wheelchair on board.
This is because space is limited and we need to block a number of seats in order to accommodate a wheelchair. Passengers with disabilities will be boarded first on all buses. Even if you have let us know of any special accommodations you might need through the Special Needs Preferences, please in all cases let the driver and any BoltBus associates know what you need once you arrive.
