Battery replacement You can change the battery yourself to these Polar products. Full periodic and water resistance checks are performed with every battery change. The actual life of the first battery, once the product is in your possession, can therefore feel shorter than what is estimated in the user manual. Depending on the model of your Polar device you can either change the battery yourself or you need to have it changed by a Polar-authorized service center that only uses Polar-approved components.
With every battery change, Polar performs a full periodic and water resistance check. At the end of the battery's life cycle, the entire device must be replaced.
